Start with the 30-second piano melody you’ve always wanted to play. In your first 60-minute session, Maegan skips the usual beginner exercises and gets you playing your chosen melody right away.
You’ll learn the notes, finger placement, and rhythm while getting patient, personalized guidance based on your current skill level. It’s the first step toward going from simply loving a song to actually playing it yourself.
Your $75 booking covers Session 1. Sessions 2 and 3 will help you add expression, better understand the music, and finish with a recording of you playing your melody.5
Curriculum
Session 1: Get Started
Start with a song you love. Maegan will teach you the notes, finger placement, and rhythm for your chosen 30-second melody. By the end of your first session, you’ll already be playing part of the song.
Session 2: Make It Sound Musical
Once you know the notes, it’s time to bring the song to life. You’ll learn how to use dynamics, timing, and expression to make your melody sound more natural and polished.
Session 3: Understand the Music
Go beyond just playing the notes. Maegan will show you the scales and chords behind your favorite melody, helping you understand how the music works and giving you skills you can use when learning other songs.
You’ll finish the session by recording a beautiful video of yourself playing the melody at home.

The Foundation
Maegan takes an “inverted” approach to learning piano: instead of starting with exercises and waiting until later to play the music you love, you begin with a specific song or musical moment that already inspires you. Her 14 years of teaching experience allow her to introduce essential piano technique and music theory through the music you actually want to play. This keeps the experience focused, creative, and immediately rewarding—while still building skills you can carry into future songs.
