The Marketplace for Human Connection: Why We Built Comprendate
Welcome, Comprendaters! Even before my son blessed this earth, I knew I wanted to create a path to prosperity that relied more on distributive education, rather than the traditional path of elementary → high school → college → post grad → job. In the aftermath of covid lockdowns and AI replacing many human-centered jobs, we unknowingly or intentionally became a professional in something other than our degrees or training. For me, I always had an entrepreneurial mind, but didn’t know that I would become very good as a trader/investor by learning autodidactily. A friend and Comprendate Host worked in sales and marketing for wine distributors, but trained on her own about viticulture and viniculture. Today, she offers exquisite in-person wine experiences in Prague. And the list goes on of the amount of people who learned something on their own, became proficient at it, and now can and will passionately host it.

Our Hosts have knowledge to pass on.
As a curious guest, our Hosts offer you an immersive and truncated in-person learning experience. While you can continue for years with your Host, we like when our Hosts bathe you in specific, nuanced learning experiences that you desire more.
Our Hosts possess demonstrated experience to offer their Comprendate. This translates to actual work experience, provable experience, or professional organization of their knowledge. In short, our Hosts aren’t just instructors, but they are entertainers too.
And our Hosts abide by the Comprendate Promise. They hold themselves to the highest standards of conduct, protecting everyone involved in the in-person learning experience.
The Guests of Comprendate
Our Guests are curious.
There was a workshop I attended to learn about understanding decision makers. Never thought I needed that in my life, and yet fast forward 20 years later, and that workshop factors into…well, all of my decision making. And that was not a class offered through traditional education.
Our Guests desire very nuanced topics to help them become more professional or to scratch that curious itch. And we show up to consume this knowledge because we choose to. It’s not forced.
Don’t be surprised if a Guest is also a Host…because that’s who we are!
Reserving and Communicating
We are NOT AI. There is still a human behind the Comprendate.
The platform is designed to facilitate the stages of communication between Host and Guest:
1) Reserving Comprendates are easy to do,
2) Sending messages back and worth are encouraged as a lead up to the Comprendate,
3) Establishing a trusted payment process where both Host and Guest are guaranteed that their money is protected and used for their development.
We encourage you to go one step further and open the lines of the communication to establish personalized expectations of the Comprendate. Get to know each other, get a feel for personalities and behaviors, and deliver a meaningful in-person learning experience.
