In this hands-on workshop, high school students will take the first step toward becoming confident investors.
This initial 50-minute session is dedicated to building a foundational understanding of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and how they can be used to construct a personalized portfolio. Students will learn how to differentiate between various types of ETFs, including leveraged, inverse, and single-themed funds, and practice applying these concepts in a safe, gamified environment using a real-time trading simulator and paper trading.
This is the first part of a three-session series titled “ETF Trading and Portfolio Management for High Schoolers.” Subsequent sessions will delve deeper into the world of investing by covering technical charts and indicators, exploring the concepts of asymmetry and catalysts such as macroeconomic events, and providing a brief introduction to options trading.
The ultimate goal of the series is to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed not only to make their very first investment but also to confidently manage it for profit.
